Sergio R. Vallejo

SERGIO R. VALLEJO, DMD, is President & COO of Complete Wellness Centers.
Dr. Vallejo brings to the company a unique combination of team-spirited
leadership, solid organizational skills, and pragmatic management style
which has defined his success and resulted in the rapid growth of each
and every business venture he has undertaken. Dr. Vallejo obtained his
Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry in 1985 from the University of
South Florida. While attending graduate school to receive his DMD from
the University of Florida, Dr. Vallejo founded PVM Prescription Center,
an institutional pharmacy that provided medications and supplies to the
residents of long-term care facilities throughout central Florida. In
1989, Dr. Vallejo successfully merged three thriving dental practices
into one, forming Jones Wilson Vallejo Associates, P.A. He consolidated
all accounting functions, then evaluated and lowered the overhead from
66% to 57%. He established a paperless online insurance claims
transmittal system that allows the practice to bill patients and third-
party providers on a daily basis, thereby increasing cash flow. After
eight years of managing PVM, Dr. Vallejo proposed the company’s sale and
began negotiating offers from interested parties. Three years later, in
1996, he sold PVM to Sun Healthcare Group, a publicly traded company
seeking to expand its pharmaceutical holdings. The business sold at an
overwhelming profit over Dr. Vallejo’s initial investment. In 1996, Dr.
Vallejo assumed responsibility as the Director of Pharmacy Operations in
Florida for Sunscript Pharmacy Corporation, an international company
with 44 pharmacies in the United States alone. In the 18 months he was
affiliated with Sunscript (a subsidiary of Sun Healthcare), Dr. Vallejo
increased gross revenues 250% and increased net by 350%. After Sun
Healthcare bought PVM, Dr. Vallejo continued to work with them in
obtaining long-term care pharmacy accreditation with commendation
through JCAHO, scoring a 97 out of 100 total points. He also oversaw the
relocation of PVM to a new location and doubled the size of the staff.
Dr. Vallejo currently serves as a member of the Board of Directors of
Universal Building Specialists, a statewide building contractor
specializing in the design and construction of complicated roof systems,
decking, and other customized projects. UBS is a privately held company
grossing an average of $15 million per year. Dr. Vallejo is acutely
aware of the role the Board of Directors plays in today’s corporate
environment, and strives to provide innovative and insightful concepts
indicative of his forward-thinking style. Dr. Vallejo’s other business
interests include ownership in Transworld Senior Services, an assisted
living facility development firm, and S&S Enterprises, a real estate
investment company.
