Sean McCarthy

SEAN MCCARTHY, PhD, is Senior Director of Business Development at
Structural GenomiX. Before joining SGX, Dr. McCarthy was a Senior
Scientist and Program Director at Millenium Pharmaceuticals, where he
managed biotherapeutic assets for the company. His background in the
genomics industry includes experience in gene and target discovery by
sequence database mining. Dr. McCarthy was a postdoctoral research
fellow at DNAX Research Institute, where he analyzed oncogene-related
gene expression. He received his PhD from St. John’s College, University
of Oxford and his BSc in Biochemistry and Pharmacology from King’s
College, University of London.
