SCOTT THOMPSON joined TeleTech as its President and Chief Executive
Officer in October 1999. He is also a member of TeleTech’s Board of
Directors. Since his arrival, TeleTech has seen tremendous growth
including the addition of several new Fortune 1000 clients, new customer
interaction centers and a significant increase in the company’s stock
valuation. Prior to his leadership role at TeleTech, Mr. Thompson served
as President of Lucent Technologies’ Netcare Professional Services
Division. Before his post at Lucent, he was Executive Vice President of
Global Integration Services for Ascend Communications where he was
responsible for customer support, education and consulting. He
transformed the Ascend services division from a cost center to a profit
generator in less than one year, and created a new Web-based service
paradigm that has won industry awards for innovation and thought
leadership. Mr. Thompson has also held senior executive positions at
Compaq Computer Corporation and Tandem’s Global Services Division. He
holds a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from Georgia Tech and a
Master’s degree in Business Administration from Cornell University.
