Sandra A. Van Trease

SANDRA A. VAN TREASE was named President of RightCHOICE Managed Care
Inc. in December 2000. She also serves as Chief Operating Officer and
Chief Financial Officer. She joined the company in June 1994, shortly
before it went public. Previously, Ms. Van Trease was Senior Manager
with Price Waterhouse. As President and Chief Operating Officer, Ms. Van
Trease is responsible for all operations, including finance, sales and
marketing, medical delivery systems, information services, client
services, product management, business analysis, medical and provider
affairs, as well as developing and executing strategies in planning and
business development. Since joining RightCHOICE’s senior management team
Ms. Van Trease has been instrumental in improving the company’s service
and financial performance in one of the most competitive markets in the
country. She has helped the company generate premium revenue growth and
improve service levels while lowering core-operating overhead. These
significant accomplishments were made while the company worked through
numerous litigation issues and industry-wide challenges. A Certified
Public Accountant, Ms. Van Trease has an Undergraduate Business degree
from the University of Missouri at St. Louis and a Master’s degree in
Business Administration from Washington University.
