ROY H. NORRIS is the President, CEO and Chairman of the Board of Mooney
Aerospace Group, Ltd., an aircraft development and manufacturing firm
located in Long Beach, California. He has over 25 years’ experience as a
senior corporate officer in the aircraft and computer industries and has
introduced over 10 new models of business jets. As President of Raytheon
Aircraft (formerly Beech Aircraft) from 1994-1997 he was responsible for
management of a $2.3 billion enterprise as a member of a two man
Executive Office to which all operations of the company jointly
reported. He was responsible for a 30% increase in sales and earnings
during this period, and the development and launch of two major new
business jet aircraft product lines, the Premier I and the Hawker
Horizon. He oversaw the merger of Raytheon Corporate Jets into Raytheon
Aircraft and the move of manufacturing from the UK to the US. Previously
he was President and CEO of Raytheon Corporate Jets, a separate $484
million division of the Raytheon Company which manufactured and sold the
world’s leading midsize business jets, the Hawker 800 and 1000. He was
responsible for the development of the Hawker 800XP, the world’s best
selling mid-size business jet. At Gulfstream Aerospace, where he was
Vice President of Sales and Marketing, he was extensively involved with
the launch of the G-V program and reorganization of sales and marketing
operations. Prior to that he was Senior Vice President for Marketing and
Sales for Cessna Aircraft Company, an $818 million producer of business
jet and utility turboprop aircraft. Mr. Norris has previously served on
the Board of Directors of Century Aerospace Corporation ‘ developers of
the Century Jet; ERDA ‘ an aircraft seating manufacturer; and AASI ‘
developers of the JETCRUZER 500 aircraft. He was Chairman of the
Minority Business Development Council of Wichita, Kansas, and as a
volunteer was responsible for marketing for United Way of The Plaines
in Wichita, Kansas. He is a 1968 graduate of Auburn University with a BS
in Chemical Engineering and was selected as Auburn University’s
Outstanding Engineering Graduate for 1997.
