Roseanne Varner

ROSEANNE VARNER is President and Chief Executive Officer of Atherotech,
Inc. Ms. Varner’s extensive management experience in the medical
industry spans more than 20 years. Most recently, as CEO of Gynecare,
she spearheaded the company’s growth and subsequent acquisition by the
Ethicon Division of Johnson & Johnson. Prior to her position at
Gynecare, she served as CEO of Luxar, a privately held company
specializing in medical laser products. Under her direction, the company
experienced a five-fold increase in valuation and was positioned for
major acquisition by ESC Medical. Ms. Varner also has served as Vice
President and General Manager of HemoTec, a cardiac surgery division of
Medtronic, and as Vice President of Development and Operations for I-
Flow, a drug infusion company. Ms. Varner also worked for 10 years at
American Hospital Supply Corp. She holds a Bachelor’s degree from Ohio
State University and a Master’s degree in Systems Management from the
University of Southern California.
