Ronald H. Lataille

RONALD H. LATAILLE is Senior Vice President-Investor Relations for Verizon
Communications Inc., a position he has held since November 1, 2005. He is the
corporation’s primary liaison with the investment community and Verizon’s
shareholders. In June 2000, Mr. Lataille was named Vice President-Financial
Planning and Analysis for Verizon’s Domestic Telecom Group. He was responsible
for consolidation of the Domestic Telecom Group”s financial results, managing
the development of the business plan and annual budgets, and preparing monthly
financial and analytical results/presentations for senior management, Board of
Directors, regulatory agencies and bondholders. He also directed Telecom’s
compliance with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act and oversaw the customer measurement
services group. Prior to that position, Mr. Lataille was Vice President-Finance
at Bell Atlantic, with responsibility for financial planning and analysis, and
management and financial reporting for the telecom segment. Mr. Lataille began
his career in 1979 at New Jersey Bell and has held positions of increasing
responsibility in finance, accounting, and product management. Other assignments
include: President-Verizon Media Ventures, Executive Director-Performance
Assurance, Director-Switched and Special Access Services, and Director-Carrier
Business Planning. Mr. Lataille also served in various assignments in other
areas of finance and accounting such as corporate books, accounting
classification, rate case witness support and auditing. He received a BS in
Accounting from Providence College and an MBA with a concentration in Finance
from the University of Rhode Island. He is also a Certified Public Accountant.
Mr. Lataille currently serves on the BPM Forum Advisory Board.
