Ronald D. Hunter

RONALD D. HUNTER is Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Standard
Management Corporation, a publicly traded holding company with interests
in the financial services and health services industries. Mr. Hunter is
a dedicated leader who offers inspirational leadership in work and in
life. He has led the company he founded in 1989 to record growth.
Standard Management serves as an example of entrepreneurial success: the
union of two distinct industries-financial services and health services-
into one well-recognized and established public corporation. Mr. Hunter
has been widely recognized for his vision and leadership qualities,
earning him the distinction of the recipient of the 2004 Ernst & Young
Entrepreneur of the Year award in the financial services category. He
has also authored the well-received motivational book Vision Questing-
Turning Dreams into Realities encapsulating his personal philosophy,
values and life experiences. Additionally, he is a popular and
accomplished public speaker who inspires audiences to make fundamental
changes in their lives. Mr. Hunter is an active member of the community.
He is President of the Association of Indiana Life Insurance Companies,
and he serves on a number of Boards. He also directs the efforts of the
Standard Management Corporation Charitable Trust, a fund that supports
more than 100 charitable and community endeavors.
