Ron L. Pearce

RON L. PEARCE has been President and Chief Executive Officer and a
Director of Deltic Timber Corporation since December 17, 1996. He has
over 30 years of experience with forest products related companies.
Since June 1993, Mr. Pearce had been President of Deltic Farm & Timber
Company Inc., which was merged with and into the company on December 17,
1996. Mr. Pearce is a member of the Board’s Executive and Nominating
Committee. Before joining Deltic in 1991, as Manager of Operations, Mr.
Pearce served as President of J.H. Hamlen & Son Inc., a grade lumber
manufacturer in Little Rock, Arkansas. Mr. Pearce is currently serving
as President of the Arkansas Forestry Association and is a Director of
the Southern Forest Products Association. He is married and has five
daughters.
