Robert E. Bowers

ROBERT E. BOWERS, CFO of NetBank, Inc., has been with the company since
February 1997. Mr. Bowers, a Certified Public Accountant, has more than
20 years of experience in the financial services industry. During his
career, he has overseen three initial public offerings, numerous
secondary offerings and more than 30 acquisitions or mergers. Prior to
joining NetBank, he served as CFO of CheckFree Corporation, a leading
provider of bill payment processing to financial institutions. In 1996,
CheckFree acquired SSI, a provider of software and back-office support
for electronic funds transfers, where Mr. Bowers had served as CFO for
12 years. Mr. Bowers graduated summa cum laude from Auburn University
with a BS in Accounting.
