Robert Alves

ROBERT ALVES has served as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of
Advanced Solutions International, Inc., (ASI) since its inception in
October 1991. Mr. Alves had grown frustrated with the lack of customer
service and the lack of a uniform product in the not-for-profit
marketplace. It was his dream to create a packaged, upgradable software
system a client could keep forever and never outgrow. His vision
included award-winning support and a worldwide network of trained
professionals to support the product. So in 1991, ASI launched iMIS, and
it has become the only complete membership, fundraising and Website
management solution available in one upgradeable software suite. Today,
iMIS is used by more than 35,000 not-for-profit professionals everyday,
supported by more than 1,000 trained and certified iMIS and Web
development professionals, and established in the US, Canada, Europe,
Australia and New Zealand. Mr. Alves has more than 24 years of
experience in the business of software for not-for-profit organizations.
Prior to launching ASI, he was President of DISC, a software consulting
firm he created. He then served as Vice President of Corporate
Development for Smith Abbott, a software developer which acquired DISC.
He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from George Washington
University in Washington, DC.
