Rick Rudman, CPA, is Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of Vocus, Inc., a provider of cloud-based marketing and public relations software. He is a 20-year software veteran, and he has been the driving force behind growth and innovation at Vocus. Before Vocus, Mr. Rudman was a Senior Executive at Dataway Corporation, a company specializing in the development of mission-critical software systems for clients such as KPMG LLP, Booz Allen Hamilton Inc. and the United States Navy. Previously, he also worked as an Accountant and served in the United States Air Force. In 2003, Mr. Rudman was the Ernst & Young’s Entrepreneur of the Year in the software category for the Washington, D.C., region and in 1999 he was selected as the High Technology Council of Maryland’s Entrepreneur of the Year. Mr. Rudman received a B.S. in accounting from the University of Maryland.
