Richard Sasso

A 25-year veteran of the cruise industry, RICHARD SASSO is currently
President of Celebrity Cruises. Considered one of the cruise line’s
‘Founding Fathers’, Sasso was a member of the senior management team
that successfully launched Celebrity Cruises in 1990. He was appointed
head of the cruise line in January, 1996, having previously served as
Senior Vice President of sales and passenger traffic. Sasso is a former
member of the grievance committee of the Florida Bar Association, the
executive committee of the Cruise Lines International Association, the
legislative committee of the International Council of Cruise Lines and
Chairman of the Florida Caribbean Cruise Association. He currently holds
memberships in the Association of Retail Travel Agents (ARTA), American
Society of Travel Agents (ASTA), and the National Association Cruise
Only Agencies (NACOA).
