Richard DeSoto

Richard De Soto is Executive Vice President of Marketing and Sales of
AltiGen Communications, Inc. Mr. De Soto previously held the position of
Vice President of Marketing for Entera, Inc., where he was responsible
for worldwide strategic marketing. His leadership was instrumental in a
successful $440 million acquisition of Entera by Cacheflow. Mr. De Soto
brings to AltiGen 25 years of successful marketing experience in the
high-tech communications industry. He formerly served as Vice President
of Marketing and Sales for both FreeGate Corporation in Sunnyvale, CA,
and NetManage, Inc in Seattle, WA. Other past experience includes senior
managerial marketing roles with US WEST and Nortel Networks where he was
primarily responsible for launching the industry’s first CTI product to
partner channels. Mr. De Soto holds a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing and
Public Relations from San Jose State University. He is also a graduate
of the Cambridge Information Technology Center in Cambridge, MA.
