Richard D. Weiss

RICHARD D. WEISS, Director of Research, joined Janney Montgomery Scott’s
research department as a bank and thrift stock analyst in 1999. He was
named by Zacks as a 5 Star Analyst in 2002 and 2001. He was the winner
of the first annual SNL Securities stock picking contest in 2001. He has
authored several articles for financial industry trade publications and
is regularly quoted in the banking and financial news. Prior to joining
JMS, he was a member of the corporate finance department at Ryan Beck &
Co., where he assisted on over 50 public offerings for community bank
and thrift institutions. Mr. Weiss has over seven years’ experience as a
banking and securities regulator at the Federal Home Loan Bank Board and
The Securities and Exchange Commission. He has authored several articles
for financial industry trade publications. Mr. Weiss received his MBA
from The George Washington University and a BS in Accounting from The
Pennsylvania State University. He is a registered Series 7
representative. He is an active member of the Financial Managers
Society.
