Philippe Arto

PHILIPPE ARTO has been President and Chief Executive Officer of St.
Lawrence Cement Group Inc. since 2003. Prior to joining St. Lawrence, he
was Managing Director of Queensland Cement Limited, Holcim Group, from
2002 to 2003, General Manager of French Market for Obourg-Origny, Holcim
Group, from 1999 to 2001, General Manager of Aggregates for Origny,
Holcim Group, from 1992 to 1998, General Manager of Prefabricated
Concrete for Ciment Franais from 1988 to 1991, Deputy Manager of
Business Development for Ciment Franais from from 1987 to 1988 and a
civil servant with the French Ministry of Industry from 1982 to 1985.
Mr. Arto has a Master of Public Administration degree from Harvard
University and a degree in Civil Engineering from Ecole Nationale des
Ponts et Chausses.
