Philip B. Barr

PHILIP B. BARR is Executive Vice President and COO of Bacou U.S.A., Inc.
From the time he joined Bacou in 1995 until his appointment as Chief
Operating Officer, Mr. Barr held various positions within the Company
including Chief Financial Officer, General Counsel, Secretary and
Treasurer. In addition to his role in the public holding company, Mr.
Barr has an active role as Vice Chairman of each operating subsidiary.
Prior to joining Bacou, Mr. Barr was a partner in the law firm of
Edwards & Angell, where he practiced law for fifteen years,
concentrating on taxation, mergers and acquisitions and corporate law.
Mr. Barr was the partner-in-charge of the Bacou account at Edwards &
Angell and began working on Bacou matters in 1993 in connection with the
formation of Bacou U.S.A. and its acquisition of Uvex Safet, Inc. Mr.
Barr holds an engineering degree from Brown University, a law degree
from Vanderbilt University and a Master of Laws degree in Taxation from
the University of Florida. Prior to joining Edwards & Angell, he served
as a law clerk to the Hon. William A. Goffe, a trial judge on the United
States Tax Court in Washington, D.C.
