Peter Lowy

PETER LOWY is Co-President of Westfield America, Inc. (NYSE: WEA), the
fourth largest shopping center REIT in the U.S. headquartered in Los
Angeles, California. The company has 38 regional shopping centers with
3.5 million square feet of retail space and 4700 retailers. Branded
nationwide as Westfield Shoppingtowns, these centers serve 10% of the
U.S. population. Mr. Lowy is Executive Director of Westfield Holdings,
Ltd. Sydney, Australia, and is responsible for Westfield’s U.S.
operations. Westfield Holdings, Ltd., is a fully integrated, full-
service shopping center company which designs, builds, leases, and
manages major retail properties in Australia, the United States,
Malaysia and New Zealand. He has a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the
University of New South Wales, Australia. Mr. Lowy worked in investment
banking both in London and in New York City before joining Westfield, in
1983. He has been responsible for Westfield’s U.S. operations since
1990, and resides in California.
