Peter Crawford

PETER CRAWFORD is Senior Vice-President, Finance, Chief Financial
Officer and Treasurer of The Co-operators Group Limited, Guelph,
Ontario. Mr. Crawford is responsible for all financial matters of The
Co-operators Group Limited. He joined The Co-operators in 1980 as
Director, Financial Services, responsible for all accounting for The Co-
operators group of companies. He became Corporate Controller for Co-
operators General Insurance Company, where he was responsible for all
financial activity within the property and casualty company from April
1984 to February 1988 when he was appointed to his current position. Mr.
Crawford serves as Board Chairperson for Co-operators Development
Corporation Limited, The Sovereign General Insurance Company, L’Union
Canadienne Compagnie D’Assurances, L’Equitable Compagnie D’Assurances
Gnrale, and is a Board member of Co-operators Investment Counselling
Limited and Security Life Insurance Company. He is also Chairperson of
the Board of Trustees of The Co-operators Retirement Plan. He received
his Certified General Accountant’s designation in 1969.
