Paul Smith

PAUL SMITH joined Thomas Potts Plc as Group Chief Executive in April
2000. Previously he was Managing Director of Cleanaway Limited, a waste
management company, where he increased turnover from GBP100 million to
GBP200 million and operating profit from GBP8 million to GBP20 million
over a four year period. Prior to that he was Managing Director of Rexam
Metallising and Rexam Digital Imaging, industrial coating and commercial
printing subsidiaries of Rexam Plc. Before that he worked as an
Engagement Manager at McKinseys & Co Inc, the strategy consulting firm.
He received his MA and MEng from Cambridge University, and his MBA from
Harvard Business School, being ranked first in year at both.
