NATHAN J. JONES has been Senior Vice President and Chief Financial
Officer, Deere & Company since February 1998. In this role, his areas of
responsibility include business planning and development, investor
relations and market economics as well as accounting, treasury, tax and
investments. Since joining Deere in 1978, Mr. Jones has held a number of
finance positions and was named company Treasurer in 1994. He holds an
MBA from the University of Chicago and an undergraduate accounting
degree from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire.
