Mike Szycher

MIKE SZYCHER is Chief Executive Officer of CardioTech International,
Inc. He is a recognized international authority on polyurethanes and
blood compatible polymers and the author of over 80 original research
articles. Mr. Szycher was a pivotal force in the creation of the Medical
Plastics Division of the Society of Plastics Engineers. He is the Editor
of five books: Biocompatible Polymers, Metals and Composites; Synthetic
Biomedical Polymers; Blood Compatible Materials and Devices:
Perspectives Towards the 21st Century; High Performance Biomaterials: A
Comprehensive Guide to Medical/Pharmaceutical Applications; and
Szycher’s Dictionary of Biomaterials and Medical Devices and the
acclaimed Szycher’s Dictionary of Medical Devices. He is also Editor-in-
Chief of the quarterly Journal of Biomaterials Applications.
