Michael W. Wickham

MICHAEL W. WICKHAM became Chairman of the Board and Chief
Executive Officer of Roadway Corporation effective May 30, 2001,
and served in the same capacity for Roadway Express, Inc., from
March 1998. He served as President of Roadway Express from July
1990 until the company’s spin off in 1996, when he became the
company’s President and Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Wickham
began his career with Roadway Express in South Kearny, New
Jersey, upon graduation from the University of Delaware in 1968.
He served as Terminal Manager in Hartford, Connecticut; Boston,
Massachusetts; and Kearny, New Jersey. He then became District
Manager in the Northeast Division and was later promoted to
Division Vice President in that division. Mr. Wickham next served
as Division Vice President in the Western Division. He was then
promoted to Vice President, and subsequently Executive Vice
President ‘ Finance and Administration at the corporate
headquarters in Akron, Ohio. Mr. Wickham served as past Chairman
of the Motor Freight Carriers Association. He was recently
elected to a two-year term as Chairman of the American Trucking
Associations (ATA) Foundation Board of Directors.
