MICHAEL R. MCNEELY founded BioMicro Systems in February 1997 for the
purpose of developing microfluidic products that exploit the natural
advantages of microscale systems. As President and CEO, Dr. McNeely has
directed the company’s technical and corporate development since its
inception and has raised its initial funding to establish the company’s
facilities, staffing and product development efforts. Dr. McNeely earned
a PhD degree in BioEngineering from the University of Utah, and an MS
degree, also in BioEngineering, at the University of California at San
Diego. His research included developing novel microfabrication
techniques and the study of microcirculatory fluid dynamics, biosensor
design and surface modification methods.
