Maurice L. Arel

MAURICE L. AREL is President, Chief Executive Officer and Director of
Pennichuck Corporation, located in Nashua, New Hampshire. Mr. Arel
served for six years as a member of the National Drinking Water Advisory
Council to the USEPA. Mr. Arel is a member of the National Association
of Water Companies and currently serves as Chairman of the Government
Relations Committee. He is a member of American Water Works Association,
New England Water Works Association and the New Hampshire Water Works
Association. Mr. Arel is a Trustee of St. Anselm College, Chairman of
the Nashua, New Hampshire Police Commission, a Director of Fleet Bank-NH
and a Trustee of the Nashua Public Library. He served as the elected
Mayor of Nashua, New Hampshire from 1977 to 1984. Mr. Arel received his
Bachelor of Arts degree in Chemistry from St. Anselm College in
Manchester, New Hampshire and his Master of Science degree in Physical
Chemistry from St. John’s University in New York, New York. He has
received Honorary Doctorate degrees from St. Anselm College and River
College.
