Mark C. Layton

MARK C. LAYTON is Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of
PFSweb Inc., a leading Internet logistics provider. Mr. Layton is also
Chairman of the Board of Daisytek International Inc., the world’s
largest distributor of computer consumables, professional tape film
products for the entertainment industry. Mr. Layton is a 1981 graduate
of Northern Arizona University, holding a Bachelor of Science degree in
Business and Management Information Systems. He joined Andersen
Consulting as a management consultant in 1981 and spent eight years as a
wholesale and retail distribution industry consultant. He is a
recognized leader in the utilization of technology in business. His
leadership, broad based financial skills, and years of practical
management experience have shown him to be one of the top executives in
the computer distribution industry today. He is a highly sought public
speaker. His energy and style entertain over 20,000 business
professionals and college students annually on wide ranging issues
including electronic commerce, leadership, technology trends, supply
chain management, web enabled call centers, financial management, and
christian principals in business. Mr. Layton, a leading Internet
authority, authored the recently released book dot-com’s or bomb’s ,
Strategies for profit in e-business where his vision of the future of e-
commerce is portrayed. Mr. Layton joined Daisytek in 1988 as Vice
President of Operations and Director. He was appointed Executive Vice
President of in 1990, President and Chief Operating Officer in 1993, CEO
in 1997 and Chairman in 1999. In 1999 Mr. Layton became Chairman,
President and CEO of PFSweb, Inc. a spin-off from the parent Daisytek.
Mr. Layton also serves as an Associate Editor for the Center for Cycle
Time Research at the University of Memphis and serves on the Dean’s
Advisory Council at Northern Arizona University College of Business
Administration. The CBA honored Mr. Layton as an outstanding Centennial
Alumnus in 1997.
