MALCOLM C. KENDALL, co-Founder, President and Chief Executive Officer of Indel
Therapeutics Inc., has 20 years of operational management, entrepreneurial,
venture capital investment and leadership experience. Most recently, he was a
Managing Director of Asia Lifesciences Venture Consulting, a Canadian and US-
based advisory firm that assists life science companies with financial strategy,
business development and medical device product strategy and
development. Previously, he was a Vice President with MDS Capital Corp., where
he was responsible for new investments and managed a portfolio that included
companies focused on infectious disease, cancer therapeutics, inflammatory
disease, regenerative medicine and cell therapies. Before joining MDS Capital,
Mr. Kendall was a Partner with BioVista Capital, now Hatteras Venture Partners,
a US life science venture capital firm, and a Senior Associate with Intersouth
Partners, a leading early stage venture capital firm, where he focused on life
science investments. Earlier in his career, he was based in Hong Kong as a
general manager and senior marketing executive in several venture-backed
technology companies. Before entering business, he honed his leadership skills
as an Infantry and Special Forces officer in the U.S. Army, serving extended
tours of duty in both Europe and Asia. He received a BA degree from Washington
and Lee University and an MBA from the Kenan-Flagler Business School at the
University of North Carolina.
