Lyle C. Turner

LYLE C. TURNER, a Founder of Invitrogen Corporation, has served as
President, Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board of
Directors since February 1988. Previously, Mr. Turner served as Director
of Sales and Marketing at Stratagene, a life sciences products company,
from January 1987 through February 1988, and as Technical Sales
Specialist at Boehringer Mannheim Corp., a pharmaceutical company, from
June 1985 to January 1987. From September 1981 through May 1985, Mr.
Turner worked at Syntro Corporation, a biotech company, at which his
final position was Manager of Business Development. Mr. Turner received
his BA in Chemistry from the University of California, San Diego.
