Lee D. Roberts

LEE D. ROBERTS is Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of FileNet
Corporation. He continues to guide FileNet’s global course. Since
joining FileNet in 1997, Mr. Roberts has led the company’s
transformation from a leading document management supplier to the
industry’s top enterprise content management provider. Under his
leadership, the company has launched its integrated ECM platform
strategy and added industry-focused applications to its offerings.
Additionally, Mr. Roberts has championed a number of initiatives aimed
at leveraging FileNet’s extensive customer base, global marketing
presence and vast research and development resources. Focusing on the
customer, he has transformed the company to a customer-centric
organization through customer satisfaction and loyalty programs. His
many contributions include the globalization of FileNet’s sales,
marketing and support organizations to expand the company’s presence in
more than 92 countries. Mr. Roberts joined the company as President and
COO in May 1997 and was named CEO in April 1998 and Chairman in December
2000. He joined FileNet after 20 years at IBM in a variety of sales,
marketing, product management and general management roles. He holds two
bachelor’s degrees from California State University, San Bernardino, and
a Master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of
California, Riverside.
