Lawrence W. Bates

LAWRENCE W. BATES is President and Chief Executive Officer of Sun-Rype
Products, Ltd. Previously, he was Vice President of their Beverage
Division and of Sales and Marketing, General Manager, Sales Manager,
Sales Supervisor and Branch Manager. Prior to joining Sun-Rype, he was
with Walter M. Lowney Company (1966-1968) and Canada Safeway Limited
(1960-1966). Mr. Bates attended Cornell University, where he studied
Food Retailing and Economics, as well as the University of Saskatchewan,
where he was in the Business Administration Program. He is married and
has three children.
