Kenneth S. Kornman

KENNETH S. KORNMAN, DDS, Ph.D. is President of Interleukin Genetics,
Inc. Dr. Kornman received dental training at Emory University School of
Dentistry and then attended the University of Michigan for specialty
training in periodontics and a Ph.D. in microbiology and immunology. He
was on the faculty of the University of Connecticut Health Center, and
in 1984 he became Professor and Chairman of the Department of
Periodontics and Professor of Microbiology at The University of Texas
Health Science Center at San Antonio. Dr. Kornman is currently Chief
Scientific Officer of Interleukin Genetics, Inc., a biotechnology
company based in San Antonio, Texas. He retains academic appointments at
The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, and at
Harvard University. Dr. Kornman is actively involved in research on the
etiology and treatment of chronic inflammatory diseases and has
published more than 100 manuscripts and authored three textbooks on
these subjects. His current work focuses on genetic modifiers of
inflammatory diseases. In recent years, Dr. Kornman has lectured in
Switzerland, Denmark, the Netherlands, Canada, South Africa, Israel,
Brazil and Australia as well as throughout the United States.
Dr. Kornman attended Duke University. He is married with two children.
