Kenneth J. Zuerblis

KENNETH J. ZUERBLIS has served as Chief Financial Officer of Enzon
Pharmaceuticals, Inc., since January 1996, as Vice President, Finance
since April 1994, and as Secretary since August 2000. From July 1991 to
April 1994, Mr. Zuerblis served as Enzon’s Controller. Mr. Zuerblis is
responsible for all financial aspects of the company, investor and
public relations, and information technologies. During his tenure, Enzon
has transitioned into a fully integrated biopharmaceutical company that
is significantly profitable, cash flow positive, and has substantial
revenues driven by a portfolio of five marketed products, four of which
are solely marketed by Enzon’s own sales force in North America. Since
1991, Mr. Zuerblis has raised approximately $580 million in capital,
Enzon’s market capitalization has increased from $50 million to
approximately $700 million, and institutional ownership has grown from
15% to 80%. Prior to joining Enzon, Mr. Zuerblis was employed as a
Senior Manager by KPMG LLP, where he was involved in providing audit and
tax services to public and private companies.
