Kenneth B. Kaplan

KENNETH B. KAPLAN has served as Chairman, President and CEO of Microware
since he co-founded the software company in 1977. Mr. Kaplan is the
recipient of the 1996 Master Entrepreneur of the Year from Ernst & Young
and NASDAQ. He also serves on the Board of Trustees of Drake University,
Des Moines, Iowa, and Buena Vista University in Storm Lake, Iowa. Mr.
Kaplan recently received an Honorary Doctorate of Humane Letters degree
from Buena Vista University.
