Judy Sims

JUDY SIMS is Chairman of the Board and CEO of Software Spectrum, Inc., a
company she co-founded in 1983. Software Spectrum is a leading global
supplier of personal computer software and technology services to
organizations. Much of Software Spectrum’s success can be attributed to
Judy Sims’ outstanding leadership and her steadfast commitment to evolve
the Company’s services to meet the changing needs of its customers. In
1994, Ms. Sims led the Company’s expansion into Europe and has
established a significant corporate presence in Asia/Pacific, making the
Company a premier global supplier of software and related services to
large, multinational customers. Today, the Company’s more than 2,400
employees are located across North America, Europe and Asia/Pacific.
Under Ms. Sims’ leadership, Software Spectrum has enjoyed outstanding
growth. In addition to serving her industry by speaking at national
conferences on management and technology issues, Ms. Sims is involved in
her local community. She in involved in various civic and business
organizations in the Dallas area, such as the International Woman’s
Forum, The Charter 100 of Dallas, The Young President’s Organization,
Committee of 200 and is a member of the Board of Directors for Girls
Inc. of Metropolitan Dallas and The Center of Nonprofit Management.
Prior to co-founding Software Spectrum, Ms. Sims held the distinction of
being one of the first women in Grant Thornton’s 50-year history to be
named an audit partner. Ms. Sims served at this national accounting
firm from 1977 to 1985. She earned a Bachelor of Business
Administration in Accounting from Texas Tech University in 1974 and is a
Certified Public Accountant.
