Joseph McCabe

JOSEPH MCCABE, JR., Vice President & CFO of AT&T Wireless Services, is
responsible for all financial planning, results reporting, analysis and
controls for the unit. Mr. McCabe serves on multiple executive
governance bodies for AT&T Wireless and AT&T CFO. He provides financial
leadership and advice to the AWS President and Executive Boards. Mr.
McCabe started working for New York Telephone while still in college and
now has 30 years of service with the company. He had a number of
assignments before spending time in sales while studying for his MBA.
Mr. McCabe spent six years in sales and four years as a Market Analyst
before moving into the finance organization. After holding several
financial positions, he became a Controller and then CFO in BCS (which
is now part of Lucent Technologies). He then took an assignment as
International Vice President in BCS before being promoted early in 1996
to Vice President and CFO for the Strategy and New Service Innovation
Division in the ‘new AT&T.’ In addition to this, he assumed
responsibility as CFO for the International Operations Division, Local
and Consumer LD in late 1996. Mr. McCabe holds a BS degree in
Management, an MBA in Quantitative Analysis, and an MBA in Accounting,
all from St. John’s University. He and his family live in Chatham, New
Jersey. He enjoys golf, skiing, and home renovation.
