Joseph M. Harary

JOSEPH M. HARARY, President and Chief Operating Officer of Research
Frontiers Inc., became the company’s Vice President and General Counsel
in April 1992 and has been a Director of the company since February
1993. Mr. Harary was promoted to the position of Executive Vice
President of the company in December 1999 and was promoted to the
position of President and Chief Operating Office in February 2002. Mr.
Harary graduated summa cum laude from Columbia College in 1983 with an
AB degree in Economics, and received a Juris Doctor degree from Columbia
Law School in 1986. While at Columbia Law School, Mr. Harary was a
Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar as well as an Editor of the Columbia Law
Review. Prior to attending law school, Mr. Harary was an Economist with
the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. Mr. Harary has been involved with
various aspects of Research Frontiers’ business, and in addition to
service as its legal counsel, has actively been involved with all
aspects of the company’s business including marketing, licensing,
government relations, raising private and public equity capital, and
related activities. Mr. Harary was also one of the original attorneys
with, and has been counsel to, the law firm of Solovay Edlin & Eiseman,
New York, New York, since 1992 where his corporate law practice
emphasized mergers and acquisitions, technology licensing, securities
law, and intellectual property law. Mr. Harary was associated with the
law firm of Kronish, Lieb, Weiner & Hellman from 1986-1990. Further

published several articles in the fields of intellectual property and
corporate law, as well as articles relating to smart windows.
