Jonathan P. Brodsky

Jonathan P. Brodsky, 12 years of investment experience, serves as a Managing Director of Advisory Research Inc. (ARI). Jonathan began his career in finance as an investment banker for J.P. Morgan Securities, Inc. Jonathan holds a B.A. in political science and an MA degree in international relations from Syracuse University and an MBA degree and J.D. fromNorthwestern University. Jonathan is proficient in Spanish and Mandarin Chinese. James M. Langer, CFA, 18 years of investment experience, serves as a Managing Director of of Advisory Research Inc. (ARI). Prior to joining ARI, he served as an investment analyst at Marquette Capital for five years. Jim’s career in finance began at the Center for Research in Security Prices at the University of Chicago where he worked on several academic research projects. Jim holds a BA degree in economics from the University of Chicago and an MBA degree from the Kellogg School of Management – Northwestern University.Brien M. O’Brien, 31 years of investment experience, serves as Chairman and CEO of Advisory Research, Inc. (ARI). Prior to joining ARI, he was the founder of Marquette Capital, an investment advisory firm that merged with ARI in 1996. A former vice president at Bear Stearns, Brien began his career with Oppenheimer & Co. He is a member of the Board of Trustees of Boston College, a member of the Board of Trustees for the University of Chicago Medical Center and a member of the Board of Trustees and Chairman of the Endowment Committee of the Westminster School in Simsbury, CT. Brien graduated with honors from Boston College with a B.S. in finance and theology.Matthew K. Swaim, CFA, CPA, 10 years of investment experience, serves as a Managing Director of of Advisory Research Inc. (ARI). Prior to joining ARI, he worked in the assurance and business advisory group at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP. While pursuing his master’s degree in business, he worked as an equity analyst with a mutual fund company. Matthew holds a BS degree in accounting and business administration from the University of Kansas and an MBA degree from the Kelley School of Business – Indiana University.
