John R. Rooney

JOHN R. ROONEY is President and Chief Executive Officer of Equatorial
Energy Inc. He is a Chartered Accountant and a Chartered Business
Valuator. Mr. Rooney joined Equatorial in the spring of 1999 as Senior
Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Secretary. Mr. Rooney has
been involved in numerous private and public oil and gas ventures,
including as a Founder and CFO of Tidal Resources Inc., a company listed
on the Toronto Stock Exchange. Prior to that, Mr. Rooney spent 10 years
with Ernst & Young, including five years in the corporate finance and
business valuations practice.
