John J. Egart

JOHN J. EGART is President, CEO and Director of First Team Sports. Egart
has served as president and director of the company since January ,
1994. Prior to this, he served as executive vice president since co-
founding the company in May, 1986. Previously, Egart was an independent
agent in the Upper Midwest representing Adidas USA, a manufacturer of
sporting goods based in Warren, New Jersey. He also served as an
independent agent representing Vanco Inc., a distributor of Adidas
products based in Lansing, Michigan. Before joining the Adidas
organization, Egart was sales and promotion director in the Upper
Midwest for Converse, Inc., a sporting goods manufacturer based in
Boston, Massachusetts. Prior to that he was sales representative in the
Midwest for Parker Brothers Games, a division of General Mills, based in
Salem, Massachusetts. Egart earned his B.A. in business from the
University of Notre Dame, where he also played basketball. He is an
active member of the National Sporting Goods Association (NSGA),
Sporting Goods Manufacturers Association (SGMA) and Canadian Sporting
Goods Association (CSGA).
