John Hughes

JOHN HUGHES joined AMCOL International Corporation in 1965, as a
chemist. He became Manager of industrial sales in 1970, Manager of
industrial corporate development in 1973 and was appointed Vice
President in 1982 and President and CEO in 1985. He was named Chairman
and CEO in August 1988. Mr. Hughes has a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry
from the University of Wales, United Kingdom and a Master’s degree in
Business Administration from the University of Chicago.
