John E. Urheim

JOHN E. URHEIM has been Vice Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of
Atrix Laboratories, Inc., since June of 1993. Mr. Urheim came to Atrix
with 28 years of experience in general management, business development,
and marketing management within the healthcare and pharmaceutical
industries. He has worked for both large and small companies, including:
Abbott Laboratories, G.D. Searle, Owens Illinois Corporation, and Gynex
Pharmaceuticals, Inc. Mr. Urheim received his B.A. in Economics and
Political Science from Cornell College and an M.A. in Economics from the
University of Iowa.
