John D. Pennal

JOHN D. PENNAL is President and Chief Executive Officer of Noble China
inc. Based in Toronto, Canada, Mr. Pennal is responsible for the
strategic direction of the Company and, together with Hong Kong-based
Andrew Wan, Noble’s Chief Financial Officer, oversees the operations of
the Company’s breweries in China. Mr. Pennal joined Noble as President
in April, 1995. A lawyer by profession, he acted as legal counsel for
Noble at the time of its IPO in 1993 and has been associated with the
Company since that time. Immediately prior to joining Noble, he
practiced as a senior partner in a Toronto law firm specializing in
mergers and acquisitions. Mr. Pennal has had extensive experience doing
business in China and has been advising foreign companies with Chinese
operations since 1986. He also serves as an officer and director of
another Canadian public company with a significant investment in China.
Mr. Pennal holds a Bachelor of Law degree from the University of
Toronto.
