John Cox

JOHN COX is the Chief Financial Officer of BMC Software, Inc., a leader
in enterprise management. Previously, Mr. Cox served as Vice President,
Chief Accounting Officer and Controller of BMC Software. He joined BMC
Software in October 1989 as Manager of Taxation and was named Director
in October 1991. Mr. Cox has also headed the investor relations function
since 1991. Prior to joining BMC Software, Mr. Cox was a Manager in the
Houston office of Ernst & Young LLP. He was born in Haskell, Texas, and
received a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Texas A&M
University in 1981.
