Joel H. Girksy

JOEL H. GIRKSY is President, Treasurer and Chief Executive Officer of
Jaco Electronics, Inc. Mr. Girksy founded the company in 1961 with his
brother Charles Girksy. JACO distributes electronic components for many
different manufacturers, as well as computer subsystems, TFTs, flat
panel displays, value add, and electromechanical devices. Through Mr.
Girsky’s skilled management and in-depth knowledge of the electronics
industry, JACO has grown from a small company operating from a Brooklyn
garage to a national corporation. JACO is one of the top 25 electronic
distributors in the world. Mr. Girsky has long been known as the
spokesman for JACO. He travels extensively both in the United States and
abroad, attending conferences and addressing manufacturer and
distributor groups within the electronics industry. Mr. Girsky is
renowned in the industry for his articulate, frank and honest approach
to problems. He has a degree in Merchandising from Brooklyn College.
