Jeffrey Lewis

JEFFREY LEWIS assumed the duties of Chief Executive Officer of Malan
Realty Investors, Inc., on October 1, 2000, and has also served on the
company’s Board of Directors since May 2000. Mr. Lewis is responsible
for all aspects of the company investment, sales and operating
activities. Immediately prior to joining Malan, Mr. Lewis was with
Kennedy Associates, a Seattle-based real estate investment manager
specializing in value-added real estate investments. Before Kennedy, he
worked on a number of real estate investment programs at CalPERS, both
as a staff member and as an external consultant. While with CalPERS, his
experience included the management of the CalPERS $1.5 billion office
property portfolio and the design, installation and oversight of the $1
billion California single-family housing development investment program.
At Kennedy, Mr. Lewis was responsible for the asset management of
approximately half the $3 billion client national portfolio that
included all major property types. He holds a BS from University of
Nevada Las Vegas (major Economics) and an MBA from Stanford University.
Mr. Lewis also holds active real estate broker licenses in Nevada and
California.
