Jeff K. Lin

Jeff Y. K. Lin, a co-founder, is currently chairman, president, and CEO
of Asante Technologies, Inc. In 1989, he raised $.5 million seed money
to start the company. Under Mr. Lin’s leadership, Asante raised
additional venture funding of $3 million and quickly grew to dominate
the Apple high-speed network adapter cards and peripherals market. The
company became profitable in 1990 and went public in 1993. In 1995, he
led the transformation of Asante from a network provider for Macintosh
to become a leader in multi-platform high-performance and easy-to-use
networking. To further strengthen Asante’s competitive edge and
leverage lower manufacturing costs in Asia, Mr. Lin forged strong
alliances with key manufacturers in Taiwan and China. Before Asante, he
spent 13 years in the networking and semiconductor industry, responsible
for product design and development projects, including a technical staff
position at National Semiconductor. He was most recently vice president
of engineering of SIIG, Inc. in Fremont. Mr. Lin was born in Taiwan in
1951. He holds a BSEE in Computer Engineering from the National Chiao-
Tung University of Taiwan and MSEE in Computer Engineering from San
Diego State University
