James L. Balsillie

JAMES L. BALSILLIE is Chairman and co-CEO of Research In Motion Limited.
Prior to joining RIM, Mr. Balsillie was Executive Vice President and
Director of Sutherland-Schultz Limited. Previously, Mr. Balsillie held
Senior positions with Prudential-Bache Securities in New York, and the
Strategy Consulting Group of Ernst and Young in Toronto. He holds a
Bachelor’s degree (Honors, Economics) from the University of Toronto,
Trinity College, a Chartered Accountant designation from the Ontario and
Canadian Institutes of Chartered Accountants and an MBA from Harvard
University. He serves on the Board of Directors for Communitech, Wilfrid
Laurier University and Descartes Systems Group.
