James L. Smith

JAMES L. (JIM) SMITH, is President and Chairman of Summit Life
Corporation, a multi state insurance holding company; and President and
General Agent of James L. Smith & Associates, Inc. Mr. Smith was at
Central State University for three years where he studied Business
Management. He has been in the insurance industry 25 plus years and
received his CLU Designation in 1985; ChFC Designation in 1986 and
LUTCF Designation in 1987. Mr. Smith is a Life and Qualifying member of
the ‘MILLION DOLLAR ROUND TABLE.’ He achieved ‘Top of the Table’ with
MDRT in 1985 and from 1990 to 1997. Mr. Smith is an active member of the
Oklahoma City Association of Life Underwriters. He was the 1989 ‘Boss of
the Year’ of LICOMA (Life Insurance Company Officer Management
Association). Mr. Smith received OCALU’s ‘Agent of the Year’ Award
October 29, 1994. He has many top awards from the companies he
represents. He retired in 1988 from the US Army Reserves as Assistant
Division Commander. Mr. Smith is a Sponsor of the Red-Ribbon Anti-Drug
Campaign Adopt-A-School-Southern Hills Elementary, Active Member at
Meadowood Baptist Church.
