Ian Baron

IAN BARON is Chief Executive Officer of Dragon Oil Plc, the parent
company of Dragon Oil (Turkmenistan) Ltd., and is also a member of the
Board of the Cheleken Joint Venture. He is a British citizen who resides
in Dubai, from where he manages the office of Dragon Oil. Mr Baron has
22 years’ experience in the oil and gas industry and before assuming his
current role, was Vice-President of Conoco Middle East Ltd, a subsidiary
of Conoco Inc, one of the largest independent oil companies in the USA.
He is a graduate in Geology and has worked on petroleum exploration and
development projects in the Middle East, Australia, USA and the North
Sea.
