Hugo Vandamme

HUGO VANDAMME, President and CEO of Barco n.v. since 1983. Born
Diksmuide, Belgium, November 28, 1945. Mr. Vandamme received a MSc in
Electrical Engineering (University of Ghent, 1969). He is a Member of
the Management of Barco since 1974. Mr. Vandamme is a Member of the
Executive Committee of ‘Fabrimetal’ (Federation of the metalworking,
mechanical, electrical and electronic engineering and plastics
processing industry), the Flemish Economic League (VEV) and the
Federation of Belgian Enterprises (VBO/FEB); Member of the Board of
Directors of the ‘Societe Generale de Belgique’, Dexia Belgium n.v.,
Board of Supervisors of Sara Lee/DE; Member of the Flemish Council for
Research Policy (VRWB) and the Fund for Scientific Research -Flanders
(FWO); President of the Belgo-Indian Chamber of Commerce & Industry. Mr.
Vandamme received the ‘Manager of the Year 1988’ (Nomination by ‘Trends’
Financial and Economical Magazine).
